Homework

Students will have some type of homework in reading, spelling, and math daily. Students are required to read for 20 minutes a night. Homework is checked in class daily; some will be checked off, while others graded. Parents should check your child's homework and initial daily on the homework log. Any homework or classwork not completed on time will result in a loss of morning recess and/or Friday study hall. Students who have all work completed and no behavior cards get to go to Fun Friday. Others will have study hall for 30 minutes.

Make-Up Work
A paper clipped stack of make=up work will await your return at school. Work must be made up and returned the following day in the red folder. Any homework that is not completed will be made up during recess the following day and/or during Friday study hall. These will be recorded in the back of the red folder under "Incomplete Assignments". An adult is responsible for signing it every time an asignment has been made up. If work is still incomplete, the student will be sent home on Friday with what still needs to be made up. Spelling, vocabulary, and grammar tests/quizzes cannot be made-up.

Please let me know ahead of time if your child will be missing more than a couple days of school.
